Our History

tekGIANTS was founded in 2003 to provide premium technical and web services at affordable rates. We were tired of seeing people purchasing competing equipment and services, and not receiving quality support when they needed it most. On many occasions, customers would call these companies only to wait on hold for a representative overseas, or to see a new tech every week. We provide a strict attention to detail and provide the highest quality in support services.

Management Team

Tony Greco, Chief Executive Officer

Tony graduated with Honors from Regis University in Denver, Colorado with a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering (emphasis in Network Engineering). Tony was honored by Regis for developing a published SaaS-based proposal on biometric security, cloud computing, and security deficiencies at all National Nuclear Power plants in collaboration with homeland security efforts. Additionally, he has innovated several cloud based technologies.  One of which is a patent-pending system called HIVE Virtual Enterprise.  
Upon graduation, Tony was employed by a large medical company as a Director of IT for over 4 years. Tony helped deploy and maintain a network of over 2000 users. Tony opened up his company tekGIANTS, Inc. in 2003 to offer innovative, premium IT services.  tekGIANTS is now a full-service IT firm with hundreds of client spanning the globe.  HIVE Virtual Enterprise is a revolutionary way to operate your business, in the cloud, from any mobile device or terminal/PC.

Tony has extensive experience in the realm of cloud computing, virtualization and SaaS-based development.  He has successfully helped several large enterprises take the plunge into the cloud, and recognize a significant cost-reduction within those companies.  Today, he speaks all across the world on cloud-based technology and continues to innovate cloud based technologies.

Dana Dearth, Chief Information Officer

Dana graduated from University of Central Florida with a BA degree in Management Information Systems. He has over 9 years experience as a Sr. Software Engineer with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and over 12 years experience in the IT industry. Dana has implemented several large technical reorganizations from the ground up. Dana leads the team of our techs to make sure each and every ticket and client gets the best in support.
Dana is the reason why our clients get the support they deserve. Dana leads up our technicians, assists in the business operations as well as research and development for Tekgiants.  So if something new in IT is coming out chances are we have an eye out on it, or we are doing testing on it.
Today our company is steadily growing and we look forward to continually serving Central Florida, and beyond.

Jim Herbet, Chief Development Officer, Director of Operations

Jim graduated from the University of Central Florida with an M.S. degree in Health Services Administration.  As a creative, customer-focused sales leader, Jim brings to our team over 15 years of successful business development and account management experience  in the technology, financial, and healthcare industries.  His main focus is on cultivating and managing our valued client relationships to ensure their viability for years to come.

Jim is blessed to spend his most precious times with his wife Darlene and their 4 children in the Winter Springs area.  The words he strives to live by are from his Father: “Work hard, be fair, and treat everyone with respect.”

Ross Johnston, Chief Marketing Officer

Ross graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado and received his MBA from The University of San Francisco with an emphasis in Marketing.  He has over 12 years experience in technology marketing in Silicon Valley start-ups as well as managing content syndication and customer acquisition for CNET Networks, now CBS Interactive in San Francisco.  Ross started his career in Investment Banking for Kidder, Peabody, Co. in New York City and transitioned into full time marketing responsibilities with a move to the San Francisco Bay Area.  He was also the primary investor in Blue Media, a Florida based mobile marketing firm sold in 2010.    

Ross lives in Winter Park with his wife and two children and spends any remaining free time training for various triathlons around the country.

Systems Architects and Administrators

Brad Williamson, Senior Systems Administrator

Brad has over a decade of experience in the IT field with extensive knowledge in configuring and upgrading PC’s, troubleshooting various Windows operating systems, every flavor of Linux, quality assurance software testing, citrix farm administration, server backup support and configurations, network hardware and printer configuration, Microsoft terminal server, and much more.

Brad is an expert in Linux, Virtualization, and project management.

Nick Marino, Systems Administrator

Nick is a recent graduate of the University of Central Florida with a B.S. Degree in Information Systems Technology. He has worked in many mixed environments, gaining experience with Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and all flavors of Linux. He is also experienced with VoIP technologies like Asterisk PBX. Nick is currently a Microsoft Certified Professional working towards his MCITP certification, and plans to pursue Linux+ and Security+ certifications.

In his spare time he enjoys reading about the latest tech news, and testing new products.
